Emily Cottis

Dog Trainer

Emily has always had a love and passion for dogs and started volunteering with a local rescue before working in the animal charity sector with one of the biggest dog and cat re-homing centres. During her time here, she has worked with numerous dogs with various behaviour issues and was actively involved with implementing training programs for individual dogs.

She has been working within training classes for a number of years, helping to teach the kennel club good citizen dog scheme. She has now moved on to teaching her own classes as well as offering 1-2-1 behaviour consults and puppy training.

Emily has her own rescue dogs and has fostered for the charity she worked for. She has completed the kennel club good citizen scheme bronze, silver and gold levels with one of her own dogs and has enjoyed taking part in other classes such as agility and rally obedience previously.

Emily takes pride in being able to work with any breed of dog and always works hard with the owners to find a training plan to work for each individual dogs needs. All her training is reward based positive training and works hard to provide positive experiences for every dog.

She has attended various training courses to expand her knowledge including T-Touch and zoopharmacognosy and is currently studying towards other qualifications including pet bereavement counselling to be able to offer a fully comprehensive and bespoke service.
