Master Professional Dog Training Instructor
100%

Sarah has been working with dogs for over 17 years after achieving a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science.

Her passion for animals was obvious from a young age and she has a strong affinity to dogs, having a natural ability with them.
Her knowledge in all aspects of dog care, behaviour and training were developed from working hands on at a boarding kennel and show kennel where she lived and worked whilst at the same time studying with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training. She gained her higher certificates in Dog Training and Dog Training Instruction and achieved the status of Master Professional Dog Training Instructor.
She currently has five dog of her own, three Welsh Springer Spaniels, a Standard Poodle and a Miniature Pinscher. She competes in the show ring with her dogs, participating at Crufts each year, and has also trained them in obedience, agility and heelwork-to-music. She has performed demonstrations at public events and one of her dogs has starred in a TV advert.

Sarah has recently completed her MSc in McTimoney Animal Chiropractic, so has extensive knowledge of canine anatomy and physiology and is currently working her way through the Kennel Club show judges education programme.

Puppies are her special interest, she has vast experience and knowledge gained from whelping, rearing and caring for them throughout their life into old age, and therefore understands the importance of correct stimulation, socialisation and training at each stage.
Having worked with many different breeds she appreciates their varying needs in terms of care and training and the behaviours they are likely to exhibit.

She is keen to offer advice to potential new puppy owners on the suitability of a breed to make sure they will fit easily into their lifestyle which will benefit both puppy and owner.

Situated in Newark-on-Trent she runs local puppy classes and offers 1-2-1 training, basic behavioural advice as well as private puppy coaching for new owners to help them with all areas of new puppy life.

As well as pet training Sarah can offer guidance to those owners thinking of entering the world of dog showing, agility or heelwork-to-music. She believes in positive, reward based training to encourage owners to have fun with their dogs to build a strong relationship in which they can communicate and understand each other effectively.
