Allan Tood has been in the canine world since childhood. He grew up and lived in a boarding kennel where his Dad was a dog trainer specialising in protection dogs.

After leaving School, Allan moved away from the more traditional training methods after finding that positive reinforcement, fit him better.

Allan has had a successful doggy daycare and training facility in Trafford Park called Dogs Aloud. Dogs Aloud had over 70 dogs per day for daycare and many more for training. Dogs Aloud was closed in July 2025 after a massive rent increase.

Allan has now started a new chapter in his working life called Manchester Dog Training Academy. Allan is going to provide ethical, science-led training services in the Greater Manchester area.
