Dogs are my life. I now own 5 beautiful dogs of my own. Having served with the Metropolitan Police for 30 years of which, 16 year were as a Police dog handler I am certain that the two Police dogs I worked full term were the best partners I ever had. I have had dogs around me all my life since the age of 2 years old and planned my Police career carefully. I took a fantastic opportunity to combine my love of dogs with my full time employment.

In 2009 I studied and started my own private business. Having now retired from the Police my aim is to work with people and their most loyal companion to understand just how important the knowledge of how they learn from us can be unbelievably beneficial to our mental and physical well-being.. I don't train dogs through compulsion. It is important, I feel, to understand how the dog learns and that our behaviour and actions will and do influence how the dog behaves. Dogs only learn by constant repetition and do not understand English … and not loud English! If we use violence and aggression to control the dog, then in my opinion the dog is entitled to use it back.... or in simple terms.... he/she can bite you!!! I only use positive reward methods and I do like to see a natural bond between dog and owner, this is very important. The dog is not just a pet, but he/she should be classed as part of your family unit. My aim with all my clients is to make you a better dog handler, more relaxed and confident and in turn the partnership then becomes much more enjoyable.

I am very lucky. The 300= clients I have trained with so far have all been personal recommendation. Apart from the Guild of Dog Trainers and Accredited Petcare Professionals I do not advertise.
