Joanna Pratt - Founder of Paws-Up Dog Services

With over 20 years of experience working with Rhodesian Ridgebacks and rescue Labradors, Joanna is the founder of Paws-Up! Dog Services, based in the beautiful Chew Valley between Bristol and Bath. Joanna is a qualified behaviourist having studied with the British College of Canine Studies, and specialises in helping dogs and their owners build better communication through tailored 1-2-1 coaching.

Joanna's journey with rescue dogs sparked a deep curiosity about why dogs behave the way they do, especially those with past traumas. Focusing on reactivity issues and striving to make life better for dogs and their humans by teaching them how to speak the same language. Through understanding each others language, it can help expand both the dog’s and the owner’s world, allowing them to enjoy life together fully.

Joanna recently left a corporate career to dedicate herself entirely to working with dogs, and now spends the day walking, training, and studying canine behaviour.

At home, Joanna lives with her husband, 3-year-old daughter, and Zeus, the Rhodesian Ridgeback.

All training can be delivered virtually, at a private field in Chew Valley, or within your home.
