Lewis is head trainer at Calm-K9 and has been studying intensely for the last couple of years in all things canine in relation to their behaviour, body language, training, care, and welfare. He continuously pushes and widens his knowledge, experience and expertise and will be doing so forever. Lewis is currently accredited and qualified to a Level 4 OCN Diploma and is continuing his studies up to a level 6 which is equivalent to a BSc(hons).

Having been around dogs his entire life, at the age of 24, Lewis decided to get a dog, and his goal was to ensure she is the best dog anyone has ever seen, of course, at the time, he was inexperienced and like many owners had behavioural issues with his American Akita Elisa. He decided to enrol, and learn, push his knowledge and begin to understand his dog, after studying intensely he started training from scratch, and between them, the change has been huge. Lewis was once in a position where he was unable to afford trainers, so learning through accredited courses was the only option he had available and he quickly discovered a hidden passion for training pets, owners and guiding them through problems.

Lewis and Elisa, have had many trials and tribulations and they have overcome them all, Lewis has a true passion and dedication for understanding dogs and owners, he has never given up on a owner and never will.  Lewis has a lot of empathy and compassion for animals, thus the welfare of your dogs are always at the top of his priorities, by tailoring training programs to meet individual needs and unique goals, he always ensures your dog is set up to succeed every time thus allowing him to shape behaviour toward a defined goal.

Lewis can provide tailored services for 1:1 training, group classes, socialisation events, courses for puppies, and adolescent/reactivity courses along with sitting and walking services though these are secondary service as primarily he specialises in training and behaviour.
