International speaker, trainer and award-winning author, Lez Graham has an M.A. in Professional Practice (Canine Behaviour & Psychology), is a fellow of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association of Great Britain and is a Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers, as well as a Mentor and Firewalking Instructor.

Lez has been working with dogs since 1998, initially as a physical therapist and kinesiologist and then, as her passion for behaviour work and training took hold, as a trainer and behaviourist.

Well-known for her common-sense approach to training, Lez has been guest speaker twice for the National Dog Wardens Association and has presented at the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Education Zone at Crufts 3 times. She was also one of the keynote speakers at the Kennel Club’s 2014 Canine Sports Science Seminar.

Lez was pivotal in the creation of the National Occupational Standards for Dog Training and Behaviour and was on the inaugural committee and steering board for the Registration Council of Dog Training and Behaviour Practitioners following the creation of the CAWC Code of Practice.

Lez has published four books to date; her non-breed specific puppy book, Manners not Mayhem, was given the 2019 International Book Award and The Pet Gundog was given the 2021 International Book Award, both in the Animals/Pets General category. Her fifth book is in progress.

Lez was the first lady gundog trainer to write for a national shooting magazine and was a regular contributor to Dogs Monthly. She is currently a feature writer for Sporting Shooter.
Lez’s focus is now on training the next generation, which is why in 2016, she launched the Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor programme.
