Lucy Tunstill
Lucy offers friendly and informative tuition in general obedience and agility, as well as Gundog work for all ages and abilities.
She believes that training your dog should be a positive experience for both you and your dog, enabling you to get the best out of each other.
With previous experience in obedience and agility, Lucy’s main passion has since moved into Gundog training. She works her team of Labradors on shoots over East Anglia throughout the shooting season, as well as travelling to Scotland each year to work her dogs on the grouse moors.
During the summer months she competes in Working Tests and Scurries. She can often be seen taking part in and giving Gundog demonstrations at country fayres throughout the region, as well as running Scurries and 'Have a Go' agility.
Lucy is in the final stages of completing her diploma in ‘Advanced Canine Behaviour & Psychology’. She has completed a number of modules and courses with the Canine Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, is certified in 'Dog First Aid Emergency Canine Care' and has attended seminars on ‘Dog Law in England and Wales’.
As a qualified secondary music teacher, and with over ten-years’ experience of teaching in schools, Lucy has a high level of knowledge and understanding of differing learning styles and teaching methods. This combined with her experience and passion for working with dogs, enables her to create the very best learning experience for both you and your dog.
Aside from 1:1 lessons and progressive Gundog courses, Lucy runs a variety of Gundog training days and workshops on shoot ground. She also offers tuition in non-competitive agility, general obedience and puppy training.
Home visits can be arranged in order to assess any training problems you may be experiencing, or to help set you up and guide you when bringing a new puppy into the home.
