Michael has been involved in dog training for over 35yrs with his first dog a border collie working on a farm in Ireland, then training a succession of dogs such as greyhounds, Belgian Shepherds, Dobermann, German Shepherds.

Michael has the largest Dobermann club in the UK and was previously the president of the United Kingdom Dobermann Association from 2016/21, Michael currently has the highest titled Dobermann ever in the UK Fiodina Vom Jaspis IGP3, she won the Dutch youth working champion in 2017, won the Dutch Female Working champion in 2017 and then again in 2018, she is the only Dobermann to gain 100p in tracking under an FCI judge, in 2018 she was vice winner of the Dutch IGP nationals, she gained the highest points in an IGP3 competition.

• Michael is also preparing his Belgian Shepherd for IGP as well as training and preparing his members/dogs for their IGP titles.
• Michael is a founding member of the International Academy For Dog Trainers & Behaviourists as well as being a founding member of the National Register For Dog Behaviourists & Trainers.
• Michael is a UK Kennel Club accredited instructor KCAI and was awarded this prestigious award at Crufts in 2015.
• Michael is a fully licensed helper and track-layer in IGP and has worked with various FCI judges from around the world.
• Michael has a busy dog training club in the heart of Kent called K9 Training Services, they specialise in competitive obedience, protection work, IGP Dogsport, scent-work, agility, pet dog training they also carry out behavioural assessments & behavioural modification.
• Michael runs a mentoring programme where he takes on assistant trainers/decoys and guides them through their career and the KCAI programme.
