Sally, is a highly experienced dog trainer, behaviourist, and BIPDT security assessor with over 20 years in the field.

Her journey began with her Rottweiler, Katie, an operational security dog, and was shaped by her family’s deep roots in working with guardian breeds like Rottweilers, Bull breeds, and Shepherds.

Sally has over 15 years of experience in the private security sector, training general-purpose (GP) dogs. She has worked with top international and UK trainers, developing expertise in obedience, agility, and specialized dog sports such as UK Dog Sports and UK Scent Sports. As an accredited BIPDT security dog and handler assessor, Sally evaluates and accredits handlers and their dogs across Cornwall and Devon, ensuring they meet the high standards required for security work.

In addition to her work with security dogs, Sally runs Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme classes and works with PETCODE, a program focused on certifying pet dogs for high standards of care and behaviour. Her training philosophy is centred on positive reinforcement, trust, and communication between dog and owner. Sally is known for her expertise in rehabilitating challenging dogs, including those with behavioural issues such as fear or aggression.

Sally also runs the Cornish Dog School, offering a range of services from obedience and agility training to behavioural consultations. She specializes in helping “naughty dogs” and has successfully rehabilitated two of her own rescue dogs with bite histories into well-adjusted pets.
