My name is Sophia and I run 'On the Scent' Dog obedience and Agility training School in East Anglia. I am a Master Trainer.

We run our classes in the beautiful Suffolk countryside and attract owners from all over the county and from further afield, London, Surrey, Kent, Germany, America and Canada. Those that travel from abroad are usually visiting the UK for a short period of time and are bringing their dogs with them as they are visiting family or friends but contact us before they travel to be sure of a place. Very humbling to say the least.

I have a small team of volunteers who are either in training to be dog training instructors or already qualified in obedience and agility training. I hold classes daily, outside in enclosed, safe paddocks.

Our training classes are in puppy socialisation and training, obedience, agility, gun dog training, scent work, home visits, private lessons and the occasional training workshops. We also offer a dog walking service to our clients and pet sitting service in our own home and in the clients home when requested.

As a dog school we pride ourselves in our care for both dog and handler and actively encourage responsible dog ownership. Our methods of training are fair, firm and fun. No harsh handling is tolerated. We do believe that dogs need boundaries to know where they stand along with consistency and clear concise commands.

I am still learning and in the event that I am not able to help a client with their canine companion then I am in a position to have two qualified canine behaviourists to hand to refer clients to.
